Hello Framers!

As you all know PPFA has a New Home. We are now Part of  Monarch Expositions.

Monarch Expositions is owned by Deborah Salmon and Bruce Gherman. If those names sound familiar it is because they are principles of PFM and WCAF. Monarch Expositions is a separate company from PFM and WCAF. Deborah and Bruce along with the PPFA Board and many members believe our industry will benefit from a Professional Organization.

We are all working together for a Stronger, and Brighter Organization to represent the Professional Picture Framer. We are currently working on the future of Membership, Chapters, Education, Certification, Competitions, and our Annual Convention.
Over the next few months there will be more information posted on the PPFA Facebook Page, Framers Corner, and at Chapter Events. I hope to see you all at the PPFA Annual Convention which will be in conjunction with WCAF and the National Conference January 24-27 in Las Vegas!

Thank you
Robin Gentry, PPFA President

June 1, 2015 meeting cancelled

Hello Fellow NEPPFA Members,
I hope this message finds you all well and selling lots of frames these days.    I need to share some important news about our upcoming meeting.
Due to a variety of reasons, lack of registrations chief among them, I regret to announce that we must cancel our NEPPFA Chapter meeting that was planned for Monday June 1, 2015 at the Sturbridge Host Hotel.  The costs associated with putting on an event, such as we had planned, are substantial. Without additional financial support (i.e. registrations) it is difficult to offer such valuable programs to our membership. Upon assessing our registration situation as of this moment it became clear to the Board that it would not be wise to proceed.
I would like to thank Ron Stark for offering to come share his vast knowledge of animation art with our Chapter and hope that we have an opportunity to bring him here in the future.
As you are all too aware, it was a particularly difficult winter for us here in New England. Though it seems business is starting to show some signs of normalcy, the effects of the winter still linger. With the leaves popping and flowers blooming, the warmer weather, bright sunshine and framing customers can’t be far away.
As we look to the future please note that we still have a Chapter meeting, educational seminar, vendor showcase and framing competitions scheduled for Monday October 5, 2015. The NEPPFA Board is working now to put together a great program for that meeting and will have details coming soon. We will host both our OPEN and PRINT Competitions at that time. As a result we are extending the deadline for OPEN submissions. So if you were interested in entering and did not, you will still have time.
Thank you for your continued support of NEPPFA and we look forward to seeing you all in October. In the meantime please continue to support our generous sponsors.
Harry Gaston, CPF
NEPPFA Chapter President
Any member that has pre-paid for this event will be refunded via check right away. All competition entrants will be contacted by Becky to make arrangements to have you pieces returned for now.
